Oh, what a thorny bed of roses Jason Mesnick had to deal with, on the last segment of The Bachelor tonight! The Bachelor production team had been hyping this last installment for a few weeks now, driving Bachelor fans over the top. Now that it’s all over with, do you think Jason made the right choice?

Due to many spoilers, leaks of information and pure speculative theory, a lot of Internet Bachelor fans knew already what some of the possible outcomes on this episode of The Bachelor could be. For myself, I did not find this ending as “shocking” as ABC told everyone it would be. Shocking, would have been: Jason Mesnick running off with Reality Steve.

Much thanks to Reality Steve’s Blog for the insight and entertainment value. Steve was right, on many of the high points about the “shocking” end of The Bachelor this season. Yes, I too find it hard to believe that Jason Mesnick had absolutely no contact with Molly over this two month period, when Jason was engaged to Melissa.

In a nutshell:

Jason Mesnick can’t seem to put Molly out of his mind and believes he made the wrong choice, after he proposes to Melissa.

Jason dumps Melissa. Melissa hates Jason and would like to see him burn in Bachelor hell for dumping her in front of a few million viewers.

Mesnick talks to Molly about the two of them, making a go from where things are now. Molly is surprised, but still loves Jason; Molly agrees to start seeing Jason and see where things might end up. I don’t think that I have ever seen a look like Molly had on her face, when Jason told her he wanted another shot.

Somewhere in Bachelor heaven, Doris Day begins singing “Que Sera, Sera”.

Oh yeah, so DeAnna Pappas did show up, letting Jason know that he has a shot at her now. Wow! So DeAnna was just going to drop her new boyfriend Ace, that quickly for Jason?

Did Jason Mesnick come out smelling like a rose, through this long ordeal? Did ABC help spin The Bachelor ending, so Jason would not look like a bachelor cad? Was this whole Melissa,vs. Molly “change of heart” a script that The Bachelor producers concocted and Jason Mesnick went along with, breaking Melissa’s heart; with intention for The Bachelor ratings boost?

If ABC did not have a hand in this, then why did the very first episode of The Bachelor give away who Jason was going to propose too at the end? It was the teaser of Jason, slipping the engagement ring on Melissa’s finger.

There are a few insiders that have claimed ABC would not let Jason choose Molly, unless he picked Melissa for this scripted hoax that we just saw played out on TV, at Melissa’s expense.

Of course, ABC producers of The Bachelor could have structured this ending in a few different shades of pale, than what it was. There is no doubt of that. They simply chose to show their bachelor, Jason Mesnick in a good light. Yet, is this a true light that Jason is shining in?

Many Bachelor fans left comments on blog posts over the weeks, with regard to The Bachelor ending. Sentiments ran high that if Jason changed his mind and dumped Melissa for Molly, then Mesnick would be another name for “Tool”.

If the producers of The Bachelor did get Jason Mesnick to fall in league with a purported hoax for ratings, something this big will eventually come out in the final wash. I have a feeling that a secret this big, can’t be kept for very long. I am hoping that Jason did not get his hands dirty this season, but it does look like he did.

Kudos and congrates go out to Reality Steve. Hey dude, you really nailed this one down. It’s going to be tough for ABC to try and climb out of the hole you dug for them.

Yet, if Jason Mesnick can find a woman to fall in love with, get married and live a happy life; this should count for something. If Jason Mesnick was not involved with the producers tampering with the outcome, then I wish Jason and Molly the best of luck. If they can find happiness together and raise a family, this is what life is really about, not some fabricated reality show.

So, is Jillian, the hot dog girl is going to be the next ABC “Bachelorette”? This should be a lot of fun. Jillian is a lot of fun. I think they made a good pick! No, this is not officially announced yet, but should be real soon!
